Personality: Dawncloud at first glance can seem like a reserved and timid. However, once it's revealed how chatty and open she is, most cats who lack patience and loathe noise will wish she never opened her mouth at all. She will sometimes ramble on about nothing and others will have to stop her from talking anymore. Her playful, fun loving antics can be seen not only in her down time, but when in her fighting and hunting tactics, making it seem that she doesn't take it seriously as a warrior should. Something she doesn't tell others all that much about is the situation with her tail, which used to be long and has been cut short and curled. She usually doesn't take many words or opinions to heart and huffs them out her ears as she puffs up her chest. However, she is very sensitive about her tail and when a cat tries to talk about it, she will either request a subject change or walk awkwardly away to avoid confrontation abour it. She also hates things that come at her from the flank. She adores kits and hopes to have some someday.
Backstory: Dawnkit was born into a litter of three kits, two sons, one daughter. She was named after the dawn, the time in which they came out to the world. Her light brown brother was named after the colors of a wren. And her other brother named after the coldness of frost. As a kit, she was pretty carefree and playful with the other kits. She was always so curious to explore places she's never seen. Every chance she would take she would leave the nursery to go explore the camp. However, her mother was always there to keep her from seeing it all, much to her daughter's frustration. When the day they were to become apprentices came, she felt nothing but happiness. After she was assigned, she immediately wanted to leave camp and explore the territory. She was already showing to be a promising warrior as she trained. Her only issue was that she was already known for being a playful cat, and that was the way she looked as she hunted and fought. She once kept being scolded by her mentor by not taking her training seriously until sheuntil they realized she was, and that was how she did them. When Wrenpaw wasn't out with his mentor or other cats, he could be seen with Dawnpaw, showing each other what they learned. One day, still as young apprentices, Dawnpaw convinced her to come with her to hunt for her mentor, who was a bit sick at the time. She snatched a bird and some mice before deciding to head back. The arousing scent of fresh kill attracted a hungry fox, it's rib cage could be seen clearly. The two apprentices runs towards the camp as the fox chases behind them. Dawnpaw falls and stumbles to get up when suddenly she feels tug at her tail. Upon realizing the fox grabbed her, she latches onto a nearby tree and holds on as she calls for Wrenpaw for help. The fox twists and turns itself and her tail, trying to tear her off the tree, causing intense for her. Wrenpaw hears her cries and turns back to save his sister. She is unable to hold on any longer and is forced to let go. However, Wrenpaw scratches at the fox's face before it tries to get away with her. It drops Dawnpaw and the two continue their escape back to clan. Back in the safety of camp, she gets time to examine her tail. The upper part of her tail was mangled, twisted and patches of fur was missing. She had no choice but to go the medicine cat den to get the mutilated part of her tail. After being torn off, she winced and instantly curled her tail up, and never left it uncoiled again. Moons after the incident she had to deal with physical and emotional trauma of losing her tail and had to face discrimination and odd looks from other cats. Some cats took pity on her and offered to help her with certain duties. She didn't like cats being sympathetic towards her and was too prideful to allow another to do work for her. She was around 8 moons when her mother gave birth to another litter, allowing her little sister, Silverkit into the world. She loves her sister and loves to spend time with her as much as her littermates. Her tail no longer hurts her, but if someone were to touch it firmly, she will jerk as if she were in pain. She doesn't make it clear if touching her tail hurts her or she just doesn't trust any cat touching her tail. As a warrior, she is named Dawncloud due to her dreamy and playful personality and way she does her warrior duties. She is fairly happy with her life and does her duties well. She is a bit of a chatterbox and has a time stopping. One thing she never talks about, however, is how she lost her tail. Only she and Wrenclaw knows how she lost it and doesn't plan on telling any cat what happened.
